Why Would I Vote for John McCain? mccain8920.png

I have, for some time, been against protest voting. However, being a classical liberal, I find that both of the major political parties in this country fall far from lining up with my actual political views. There are times I find myself pulling for a Republican candidate (San Bernardino’s own Jerry Lewis in the house, Ron Paul for President, etc.), but they tend to be those that lean far to the right of the party line on economics and foreign policy issues. By and large, I have had a tendency to “protest vote” (that is, to vote for the candidate I most agree with, knowing the he will not win).
